Dolly Parton gets ain comic book in series dedicated to inspirational women

Parton joins the likes of old Us get-go lady Michelle Obama, vocaliser Cher, women'south rights apostle Gloria Steinem and nun Female parent Teresa in having a biographical comic written nearly her.

Country vocaliser Dolly Parton is getting her own comic book, the latest addition to TidalWave Comics' Female person Force series dedicated to inspirational women.

The 22-folio Female person Force: Dolly Parton will be released on Mar 31, in print and digital formats.

Vocaliser-songwriter, actress and baron Parton, who has 11 Grammy Awards under her belt, has sold more than 100 meg records since releasing her first anthology in 1967.

Before this calendar month, the 75-year-former shared a video of herself getting the COVID-19 vaccination, rejigging her hit song Jolene with the word "vaccine" as she urged others to do the same.

"Writing most Dolly was a joy," writer Michael Frizell said in a statement. "Her creativity, philanthropy and humanity are legendary."

"We've found a niche with our bio comics," TidalWave publisher Darren Yard Davis said. "There is a much wider audience for sequential storytelling than many take thought. These readers are just looking for something other than superheroes."
